My Cadet!
At around 1, my man got dropped off at my dad's with his brand new buzzed hair cut (which I very much like by the way ;D) and then we headed off to Souderton. First we went through the car wash...which is always SO great cause we always pretend we're underwater and the squids and octopuses (plural of octopus?) attack us and we scream and freak out and it's hilarious. :]
So then after that, dad drove us over to Calvary church where me and David were meeting his mom, who was in a meeting. We got there and did a little guesstimated wandering...cause I had been there before with Jenny and so I KINDA knew my way around but it was really confusing...SOMEHOW we managed to find the room the meeting was in...but everything got confused again...LONG STORY SHORT, we eventually made it out to the car. Haha.
Then it was off to Allentown!!! I guess I should explain why we were going there, huh? So earlier in the week, David got an email from his Cadets homies saying that there was an opportunity to play at this opening event for some organization this coming Saturday (which was yesterday...if you didn't figure that out ;D) and to let them know if you'd be available. LONG STORY SHORT AGAIN, it all worked out for him to go and so I drove up with him and his mom so I could hear him play and all that.
It was a COMPLICATED day though!!! We drove into Allentown and got to the Cadets office building after a lot of meandering. Haha, it was so funny, cause David just like LEAPED out of the car when we got there and we were all worried he wouldn't know where to go but he didn't care, he just went straight into the building! So his mom and I were just laughing cause I'm the extrovert and I would need a parent to come in with me while he's the introvert and he just ran right in!
It was around three when we dropped him off, and the performance was scheduled at six. So his mom and I got to go shopping!!! She is SO much fun, oh my goodness. In the car we talked about the most random things and were just cracking up and having a great time! She is so great. :] We found a Kohl's first, and went in and scoured the store for sales. After spending two hours there, we left with my Mother's Day present for mommy (not gonna post it cause I'm pretty sure she reads this...HI MOM!!!!!!!!!!!), pants for Emily, socks for his mom, and a nice blue polo shirt for him and another shirt for him that says "DUNDER MIFFLIN" on it.
When we got back to the car at five, we figured we could do some more shopping, so we checked out Talbots, but didn't find anything good there. Around 5:30, we got a call from David as we were driving down the highway. He told us we should head over to the place soon cause it was gonna start at like six and all that. So then we're driving along and pretty soon we're close to the Allentown airport...and I was like, "Uh...what are we doing Mrs. K.?" and she replied, "Uh...going to the performance?" I was SO confused!!! Then I realized that where they warmed up and practiced (the office in Allentown) was NOT where they were gonna be playing...they got a ride over there and we had to meet them there. SO CRAZY!
The GPS had us pull up to this place that looked rather empty and rather odd...like it was this warehouse type building, not what'd you expect for a mini Cadets performance. But it turned out to be ok, it was rather cute. :] David told us that we could watch from the upstairs balcony, cause to be seated downstairs was like $50. SO. We walked in, saw stands on the balcony across from where we entered, and figured we found the right place. We went in to use the bathroom, and while Mrs. K. was washing her hands I walked outside to look around and there were a few adults standing on the other side near the stands and I saw them looking at me and then one pointed so I quickly rushed back into the bathroom. "I think someone saw me Mrs. K!!!" I squealed and she laughed. We walked around to where they were and met Eric Kitchenmen, this famous YEA dude!!! He was SO cool and chill.
So as we're standing there talking, I hear some voices and I look over to this room pretty close to us, and all of a sudden I see the shades move...someone was peeking at me!! So I lean around Eric and I see these guys in uniform all lined up at the window, looking out at me. I figured one of them had to be my man, so I waved like crazy, hoping he saw. :]
Then a woman who had been standing there opened the door and went in, to take a big group picture of them (met her later, INCREDIBLY nice lady, gave her my email address so I can get those pictures that she took). As she was taking the picture I poked my head through the door to watch...and there he was...all Cadets looking in his uniform and his buzzed hair cut...he was epic!!! So I'm standing there, DYING to go in and give him a big hug but not sure if I was allowed to or anything, so I just stood there with a big goofy smile on my face.
Later on, I went in with his mom, and we took pictures (which are up on facebook... ;D) and I got to talk to him for a bit and then we left to talk to the two other parents that were there. There were only six trumpet players at the event, so it wasn't like a huge corps performance, but it was still REALLY cool.
They got started late...like at 6:45, but it was worth it!!! We stood across from them, on the other side of the balcony and watched them play. They sounded GREAT!!! And it all looked so cool, cause they were all in their uniforms with the shiny horns and all that jazz. I was SO happy to be there and see him play! Oh! I almost forgot! One of my favorite things (well the whole thing was my favorite...what I ESPECIALLY liked...) was this rippled effect thing they did. The one trumpet player on the far right brought his horn up first and the rest followed like in a ripple...and then the same thing when they brought them down, only the guy on the far left started it.
It was great...it made me so happy, I think I had a huge grin on my face the entire time they played...my man's a Cadet!!!

God's Blessings
Mom had to go to the grocery store to do our usual big weekend trip (except we didn't get to go this weekend...) and the trips usually cost us around $120 or more, with coupons. Money's been really tight lately because of the whole family situation and she forgot the coupons today...BUT...she found a $25 gift card to Giant in her car!!! What a blessing!!!
There are no such things as coincidences, only God instances.
Mighty in the Land
So at my and David's church yesterday there was a speaker named Robert Rogers. I don't wanna give away his story, so just watch this.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gs9zOuUyoz0
The clip that starts shortly after it begins is what we saw in church after Robert introduced himself, and then after we watched this he went on and shared more of his feelings and thoughts.
It was...incredible. I mean...if you watched the clip above, you saw how powerful just that video is and then his sharing afterwards was just amazing to listen to. His faith is so inspiring and I was so moved...the thing that hit me the hardest was afterwards when he was sharing. He began playing piano and he sang a song for us that he had written to his first baby girl, and while he sang there were pictures and video clips of him and his kids up on the screen. It was just so overwhelming for me...and then at the end there was a part where it showed his children on the screen waving at the camera and saying "I love you Daddy...I love you...", and sitting at the piano, Robert had finished his song and he was waving back...
At the end of his testiomony, he shared that he had written a book and he had some CDs and bookmarks and wristbands and things like that for sale out in the lobby at a listed price. But then he said this: "If you feel like you need to read the book, like it would help you in your faith or your life, just take it. You don't need to pay. Just walk up and take it. Besides, all of this belongs to God anyway." WOW.
So after the service, mom took the seven dollars in her purse and paid for a book. And David's mom got one and then David got four, cause he also said that if we want to give them to friends, feel free to take more. So currently the people reading it are: me, my mom, David, David's mom, Shep, and Tucker. And I talked to Alice about it today and I wanna give it to her afterwards, cause it is SO moving, and then I want everyone I know to read it...it's just so amazing.
Haha, I guess I haven't explained the title yet...so I told you about how Robert said there was a bookmark? Well on the bookmark is a picture of his family from the wedding that day, and then "Mighty in the Land" is written on the bottom, because it's the name of his foundation he started for orphanages around the world. The saying is taken from Psalm 112, which says: "His children will be mighty in the land." So that just kinda stuck out to me and I've been really impacted by this whole thing so I decided to change the title of the blog. The little blurb below the title, "Know God, no regrets" is kind of like his personal motto, and I really like that too.
So there's my explanation...I hope you watched the video, and I hope whoever's reading this gets to read the book eventually. Haha, I'll probably come find you sometime and say, "You need to read this book!" so when I do that, you'll know what it's all about. :]
"When God is our refuge, even when there is despair...there is hope! Even in the midst of sorrow...there is peace and joy." Robert Rogers

On My Way Home

Now I'm not sure...
I'm not sure. I thought it was. I thought it was right. Now I'm not sure.
What do you do when you've convinced yourself of something for so long that it's the only thing you can live with? But what if you shouldn't live with it? What if it's bad for you? What if you need to think those thoughts? The not so pleasant ones?
Why can't God make these answers crystal clear? I ask Him every night...I plead...cause I need answers. I can't make them myself. I need Him to make them. I need Him to show me what's right. I need Him...
I have seen a peaceful expression turn to anger as fast as a whip cracks, and so the look on the face might mean less than what it seems to be.
Anger is a signal, and one worth listening to.
It is not necessary to understand things in order to argue about them.
It's not that some people have willpower and some don't. It's that some people are ready to change and others are not.
It is our choices...that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.
I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.
Whatever God's dream about man may be, it seems certain it cannot come true unless man cooperates.
Fight for your opinions, but do not believe that they contain the whole truth, or the only truth.
Behind every beautiful thing, there is some kind of pain.
When you love a person, you are giving them the power to hurt you.

Job...as in a book of the Bible
He left.
He left his wife.
He left his kids.
He left his FAMILY.
And he's the happiest he's been in a long time?
THANKS.
You know, this whole situation really reminds me a lot of Job, from the Bible. Especially my mom. She's had her mom pretty much taken away from her. Her husband left. Her health has pretty much kicked the bucket too. Any ONE of those things would be a lot to handle. But all of them? AT ONCE??? She's doing a pretty darn good job for having to deal with all of this. No one better judge her for anything. Or I will bite your head off.
And he wants to MOVE BACK IN??? Oh no. I won't go back to something that isn't real.
I am in that mood. That mood where I just wanna SCREAM at him. And I don't care if he screams back. You know, I WANT him to. Cause I am at my best when someone's yelling back in my face. Boy would I be able to whoop his butt good...I have so much, SO much I could use against him, and I wouldn't hesitate to. I'm in THAT mood.
I love him. I really really do. He's still my dad. I will always love him. But him being my dad doesn't mean I won't ever get mad at him, won't ever wanna scream at him.
...you know what's sad? It would not make ONE difference. If he's seen my mom sobbing because of this, seeing me crying and yelling is not gonna change one STINKIN' thing.
"And truth be told I miss you
And truth be told I'm LYING!!!"

Awkward but Funny?
Ok, background first: there's this ongoing joke between me and David about cami's, like you know, the tanks girls wear to layer things and all that. I don't remember when it exactly started...but it's this funny thing between us.
SO. Last night I had this dream...it was me and David getting married. I remember like little parts about eating shrimp at the reception and stuff but the HILARIOUS part was LATER...at the hotel. Don't be too afraid...it may sound bad, but it turns out to be rather funny, just stick with me here. ;D
We're in the hotel and everything, and we're talking and we're laughing, and all of a sudden, he gets really serious and just pulls his shirt off. Well...YOU KNOW, wedding night...so then I take MY shirt off, and he like...makes the mother of all pout faces. And I'm like, "What????" so he says, "YOU'RE WEARING A CAMI". He was SO mad. Like FURIOUS. So he said something like, "The night's ruined, I can't do this, I'll talk to you tomorrow night" and then just STORMS right out of the hotel room...
Oh my goodness...ok yeah, maybe that's a bit awkward, but it is REALLY funny... ;D

Caught Myself
I don't mean to do it, I honestly don't. I just sometimes catch myself. Like tonight. I was doing it again and I had to stop myself. Cause I don't like putting myself in that frame of mind. Of always wishing that I was more, when I know that I'm already enough. That's something I've had issues with before, but I won't let myself do it now...I like me. I feel good about me. I like feeling good about me. But there always seems to be that instinct to compare...
Oh the struggles of being a girl...
Ummm...
But I have nothing in my head. Well I mean...I have a brain and all, but I have no idea what I wanna post about. Something just came over me and next thing I knew I was looking at a computer screen with my blog on it.
So uh...yeah. I honestly I have no idea what this is gonna be about. And right now I'm kinda rambling cause I don't know what to say...but I know I wanna post...ODD.
Ummm...right now I'm literally just sitting here staring at the screen. This is probably the most boring post EVA...
I wish I had a STUMBLE button. I was at the boyfriend's house yesterday (I've been very spoiled this break...pretty much saw him every day except Thursday) and we sat down at the computer squeezed very tightly onto one chair (not that I minded being so close to him... ;D) and he opened up the Internet and he just had this STUMBLE button at the top and he had previously put in categories that he was interested in and so these random websites just came up and it was the coolest thing...I mean, some sites were dumb and others were obviously something I wasn't interested in, but it's something to do when you get bored. So if someone would like to get me a stumble button for my birthday...haha, I don't even know how you get one. :P
Hey look! I wrote a whole paragraph in a post that I had no idea what I was writing about! Woot!
I really don't feel like writing about my day...hah...how weird is that? That's usually my thing...ah well. All you need to know is that I had good food for dinner. :]
OH. I AM JUST ABOUT TO BE BRILLIANT. Well not brilliant...but I thought of something to blog about.
So something that's been bugging me is the term "good Christian". And how people tend to ask themselves and/or judge others: "Am I/they a good Christian?" But...I mean, the term "Christian" has become so DIFFERENT in our world today. It's become such a "basic" term that millions of immoral but nice people honestly consider themselves "good Christians". We've reduced the idea of a good Christian to someone who believes in Jesus, loves his/her family, and attends church regularly. And people get labelled as a good Christian even though their life may have no semblance to the way Christ spent His days on earth. What about asking: "Am I a good Christ?" Like...do I look anything like Jesus? And trust me, I'm asking myself this question too...
I dunno, maybe I'll post more later. My brain has stopped being brilliant for the time being...
End of random post.

Bikes, Pierogies, and Ditches
I bet you already guessed this post will be able my man...seeing as most of my great days have him involved somehow. ;D
He biked over to my house in the morning. Yes...BIKED. He was talking about biking it the other day, and I was like, "Oh yeah that's a good idea..." but I never actually thought he'd DO it, mostly cause I don't think I would be able to make myself do something like that. I'm jealous that he can do those types of things. :P
ANYWHO.
Sidenote: Another thing I'm jealous of is that even after an hour long bike ride, he STILL smelled good...sigh...MEN. ;D
ANYHOW.
He rested a bit while I whooped Josh and Sanya's butts in Wii MarioKart Racing, and then it was time for lunch. So we're trying to figure out what we should have, and dad says something like, "I could make that thing..." and I knew EXACTLY what he was talking about. I leapt up from my seat to try and find a can of chicken (which...coincidentally...LOOKS like a can of chicken... :P). Then dad realized that we didn't have any mayonnaise in the house...but instead of pouting about it and settling for something else, we piled into the car, and drove to Landis to buy a small thing of mayonnaise!!!
After lunch (which we got to eat outside...the pasta salad thing dad made was delicious by the way ;D) we (me, David, Josh, and Sanya) went over to the neighbors (who aren't home) and jumped on their trampoline for awhile. We played this game called "The Olympics" which was SO fun, but Sanya ended up getting hurt so we went back home.
We all played tag together for a little while, which was GREAT. If Josh or Sanya was it, me and David would stand together and hold hands or hug as long as we could before we had to split up and run in different directions so they wouldn't get us. ;D
I love how him and I can have so much fun with my family...especially my brother and sister. Like...it's just so natural and we always have so much fun together, but me and my man also find moments where we can be close or share an inside joke or something. It's a great balance. :D
Ooh! I forgot!! David and I got to lay out in the hammock for awhile, that was really nice. But our hammocks are kinda bizarre...so we had to be lying opposite of one another, so that my feet were by his head and stuff, cause that way the weight could be distributed. We got to talk for awhile just laying there together...it was fun. :]
LATER IN THE DAY. WE. MADE. PIEROGIES.
That was great, doing the whole family tradition thing with him helping. He was so adorable, cause in the beginning he was all worried he would mess it up, but he did just fine. He was the crimper, aka the person who seals the pierogies. I filled them, and then passed them onto him and he crimped them. We only had ONE pierogie fall apart while being boiled. Usually there's like FIVE. So he turned out to be a very good crimper. ;D
For dinner, we got to eat the pierogies!!!! They were very yum yum. ;D
During dinner, a bunch of neighborhood kids came to the door asking if we wanted to play manhunt. I said that we would go out later after finishing dinner, but I didn't ask the boyfriend if he wanted to go, so that was my bad. :( We ended up going out to play anyway, but thinking we would only stay twenty minutes. It turned out to be like...TEN...
We were running around (it was more tag than manhunt) and I had a bunch of people coming after me, so I sprinted across the road, and went to leap over the curb. Right after I jumped, I looked down and realized there was a ditch right where I was gonna land. IT FREAKED ME OUT. I threw my weight forward a little more, cause I didn't wanna twist my ankle, but by doing that I was thrown off balance so I fell anyway. It wasn't too bad of a fall...my elbow hurt a little and my knee was throbbing, but all things considered I thought I was doing pretty good. I got up, surrounded by a circle of very concerned kids (and boyfriend), and looked down at my knee...NOT A GOOD DECISION. It was bleeding...and it was not too pretty. :P So we headed home...
By the time we got back, the blood was trailing down my leg and it just looked GROSS and I could NOT handle it. David asked where the bandaids were and I tried to go upstairs to show him, but he went into adorable doctor mode and told me to sit down while he got the stuff from the medicine drawer. He came down a minute later and proceeded to clean me up...apologizing every time I flinched, but then following it with, "It needs to be cleaned..." He was SO great. I loved being taken care of like that, and seeing how concerned he was made me feel good, like I was being looked after. I feel so safe with him. :]
The rest of the night was fairly calm...well, except for some fits of laughter. ;D We went outside and sat in the loveseat (haha...) just talking for about an hour. Some of our conversations were really serious, but then others were just HYSTERICAL. And stuff that wasn't meant to be funny came across as funny, which made it even funnier! Ahhh...we ended up talking about marching band and stuff and judges, and what the shows must be like from their perspectives, so that was cool. And then also about school and this one really short book that we both love. And he tested me too...like on how I reacted to stuff, and that was really funny cause I failed so BADLY.
Ahh...great day.
THE END. ;D

Good Friday
I wanna head to bed soon, so I'm gonna make this short, but there was one thing that jumped out at me that I really wanted to post about.
The pastor was up front, starting his sermon, and he said something along the lines of, "Jesus wasn't punished because of anything He did. He was punished because of OUR sins." Now this isn't too radical of a phrase or anything, for a lot of people it's just common knowledge, but tonight it just HIT me and I had this image fill my mind of a room with four people in it.
The first...me.
Second...a judge.
Third...an "abuser" (like someone who punishes someone else).
And fourth...Jesus.
We were all standing like someone would be in a trial. I was in chains, the judge behind his podium thing, and Jesus in chains as well, with the abuser between us.
The judge called my name and then started listing things.
"Rachel...you have lied to your parents."
The abuser looked at me, but then turned and punched Jesus in the face.
"Rachel...you have said mean things to others about those you don't like."
Jesus was slapped.
"Rachel...you have put the blame on others and hurt those you love, even when most of it is your fault."
The abuser cracked Jesus' jaw.
Thinking about it like that...just REALLY got to me. MY issues. MY mistakes. MY faults. MY sins...Jesus got beaten because I lied to a friend. Jesus was laughed at because I have made fun of others. None of the things were His fault. But He CHOSE...it just amazes me. I mean, I've known this how many years of my life? But there are moments that it just gets to me all over again.
That image keeps going through my head over and over...Jesus being hurt every time one of my sins are read aloud. Just...WOW.
And I LOVE Jesus, I love Him SO much. I'm SO thankful that he died for me!!! But...what about those that aren't? What about those that don't care? That don't appreciate it? That can't understand? That refuse to love God? He died for them too...and I have to admit, that's hard for me to understand. I try to put myself in these scenerios, to help me feel things and understand more. So I would like to believe that I would take the blows for a friend I love and who I know cares about me and is truly sorry. But would I take the punishment of someone who's torn me down? Made me feel like I have as much worth as a piece of TRASH? I don't think I could.
But Jesus did...wow...just WOW.
It just hit me hard tonight...
Mini golfing with my man!!!
As my dad said as we drove down the highway, "I love this time of year...the sunshine, the smell of spring, the flowers blooming...and the dead carcasses in the middle of the road..." I bet you can guess what we had just passed...hah. :P
But seriously, it really is SO nice, and I'm able to appreciate it so much more cause we just came from winter.
So lucky me got to spend this AMAZING day with my AMAZING boyfriend. Dad dropped me off around 12:30, and then we just had a great afternoon. We ate food (always good), and then went out on the trampoline...this is becoming a habit, haha. After a lot of bouncing and eletrical shocks, we headed inside to watch a movie called "SuperStar" or something like that...IT WAS WEIRDLY HYSTERICAL. Let's see...how to explain the movie...yeah, I can't. Basically, this girl wants to get kissed REALLY badly, so she thinks if she acts like the people in the movies who get kissed, then she'll get kissed too.
Sidenote: Guess what David? I was right about the two actresses...the one was in the "Parent Trap" and the grandma was in "Mary Poppins". I must say I take pride in that I could identify that...haha, I feel so silly!!! ;D
Sooooo....YEAH. Bizarre movie. But I got a nice back rub during it, so it wasn't half bad. ;D
Then we had a competition!!! Basically it's who could keep a straight face the longest. David did pretty well, I was rather impressed. I got him in the end though, which made me happy. :] So then it was his turn...I messed up like RIGHT AWAY. It was SO FUNNY. I was just like, "...can we start over?????" How embarrassing...haha... :P
After then that, we went out mini golfing!!! I had this memory of me having "beast mini golfing skillz"...yeah...sometimes my memory is glitchy. :P But we had a lot of fun, though there wasn't a single time when I was beating him...haha. It's so much fun to finally be able to go out and do things with him. :D
When we got home there was Pizza Hut pizza and chicken wings waiting for us. YUM. I enjoyed the pizza while David ATTACKED the chicken wings!!! I have never seen anyone so crazy over food...it was rather funny to watch.
Overall, great day. :]

EXHALE!!!!
Sidenote: I have finally figured out that the proper term for breathing out is EXhale, not OUThale...I was confused on that for a long time...pardon me if I slip and make a mistake every now and then... ;D
Ok. Story time.
Alice, Jess, and I got to the movie theater about seven minutes after the official movie time. We hurried in, got our tickets, and then went to find the theater with the movie.
WELL. As we were strolling along through the halls, we passed a bathroom, and Jess was like, "Should I pee before going into the movie?" and Alice and I nodded so she went in. On her way in, she said something like, "I'll be quick!!!" and having told them the Sanya story already, I said, "Inhale that pee!!!" which was SO TOTALLY WRONG so I QUICKLY corrected myself and said "EXHALE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!".
So now, the new word for having to pee, is exhale. It was HYSTERICAL, we used the word the entire night. ;D
The movie itself ("Alice in Wonderland") was AMAZING. I LOVED IT!!!! What's the word I used...ah yes, it was very imaginitive. Really well done. I enjoyed it a lot. The clothes were my favorite part. I'm gonna try and find some pictures soon to post of my favorite outfits.
Haha...so AFTER the movie, we all went out to the lobby-ish area and sat at one of those metal tables. Jess had brought candy (I took the box of Gobstoppers...for Sunday ;D), and one of the Gobstoppers fell out onto the table. SOMEHOW, we ended up playing this game where we were hitting the gobber all around the table with our hands, like trying to keep it in the middle of the table. And when it would go flying off, we would go running for it, looking like absolute idiots in a movie theater. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!
INHALE!!!!
So I have to start from the beginning...it was planned that me, Cara, Alice, and Jess were all gonna go out for dinner and then a movie, or just a movie, tonight. It got to be around four o'clock and I didn't know exact times so I figured I should find out. I texted Jess...no reply. So then I texted Cara. She said she wasn't going... :(. But then she told me that Jess thought I wasn't going cause of pierogie making day (which is actually Saturday).
ANYWHO. After the big communication, it was finally worked out so that I would get picked up at six and then we'd go to "Alice in Wonderland". This was worked out at 5:30. So I rushed upstairs, put some clothes on...not that I was naked before...just...put on real clothes...not jammies...ANYWAY. And so I clothed (sounds so ODD) and then purty-ed (sp?) up some more, so I ended up only having ten minutes to eat.
I threw Pizza Rolls (LOVE THOSE THINGS) into the microwave, waited for them to cool, and then commenced chewing. After eating one rather slowly (SAVOR...OMWORD SAVOR THE GRAPES, REMEMBER THAT???), my phone buzzed. It was a text from Alice saying that they would be at my house in about 2 minutes. I texted back and told her I was eating dinner. Her reply: INHALE THAT FOOD!!!
So of course, what else was there to do but inhale?
I started STUFFING them into my mouth, REALLY REALLY FAST. Sanya was sitting near me and her eye's practially were bugging out of her head. The following conversation ensued:
Sanya: What are you DOING???
Me (after swallowing): Inhaling my food.
Sanya: *pause* What does that mean?
Me: Well...it kinda means to do something really fast. Like Alice is gonna be here soon, so I have to inhale my food.
Sanya: Oooh...so if I want my friend to run faster I should tell them to inhale???
Me: ...not quite... *stifling laughter*
SO ADORABLE. OH MYLANTA! Wow...you can't help but smile at that. :D

So even though I thought I had my search narrowed down, there are still a LOT. And the ones listed aren't even all of them. Like Westchester and Kutztown aren't even mentioned and those are two colleges that I've heard great things about so I'm gonna look into them.
This whole college thing is kinda overwhelming...I'm not like stressed about it right now or anything (though I'm sure I will be by the end of next year) but it's just like BAM! IN YO FACE! All of a sudden I started receiving college mail, and more is still coming every day, it's CRAZY. And of course the counselors at school are all trying to get us to start thinking about colleges and to go on college visits and all that, and honestly it all kinda shocks me. I thought I would be starting the whole "college search" next year at the earliest, but it's already starting this year.
It's scary...wondering about your future and all that. Cause thinking about college does that to you. It makes you think ahead and makes you think about your future and what you want to do for LIFE. Lemme say that again...LIFE. Can I just take the time to say that thinking about that is just a WEE bit freaky? YEAH.
And then there are SO many factors that go into choosing a college...ahhhhh life. How fun it is. :P
REAL
I got to go home with my man after symphony practice!!! YAY!!! We had a lot of time to just TALK, which was really nice cause we can just go on talking forever about stuff, whether it's serious or just silly.
After dinner, we went out on the trampoline and had SUCH a fun time...we are SO crazy and loud...well, I'm more the loud part. :P Emily came out later and so we bounced around and played with her for a little bit, and that was fun too, we sang "Witch Doctor". ;D
When we got inside, David's mom had found her old high school yearbook and lots of other scrapbooks and pictures and stuff. I bet we spent a good...45 minutes looking at all the pictures with her telling us stories. It was really an amazing time, just listening to all the things she said, and LAUGHING OUR HEADS OFF at things she and her friends had done!!! It was HYSTERICAL. And it was so cool to look at cause the pictures were...REAL. Which sounds odd to say, but they were the actual pictures, not the "upload onto facebook" type pictures. And it just really hit me that when I grow up and get to be her age, I won't have that sorta thing to show my kids. I'll have pictures on a computer...but somehow those don't seem as real to me. It's just on a screen. You can't touch it.
So I guess the "moral" of this post is...yay technology is great, but I wish we didn't rely on it for everything because our lives are much more than just something on a computer screen.
