'Frolicking'... ;D

OMWord yesterday was SOOOO much fun!!!

DK and Cara and Cara's little bro (Kevin) came over at around 11. We had found out earlier that Kevin and Josh are gonna be in the same homeroom next year so we thought it'd be a good idea for them to meet so they'd know at least one person.
Oh, but we picked DK up first, so he was here for a little bit before Cara and Kevin and we decided (well...I decided ;D) we should play Pick-Two. I LOVE that game! Another name for it is Speed Scrabble, and it's exactly what it sounds like. So we got through one round and guess what I learned? DK doesn't like word games, he especially hates Boggle (me and Cara happen to love Boggle by the way). BUT---he also hates Yahtze, but that doesn't make any sense cause there's no words involved in Yahtze and there's no numbers in Pick-Two. Well, ok, the number TWO is in Pick-Two, but HOPEFULLY he doesn't have a problem counting to two... ;D
ANYWAY. We abandoned that game as soon as Cara and Kevin got here and the boys immediately went upstairs to 'frolick' (so says Cara), and me, DK, Cara, Mommy, and Sanya sat down to play Imaginiff---the game I got DK for his birthday.
OH. DK'S BIRTHDAY. Forgot to post about that...haha, guess what I realized? I posted MORE during the school year, even though I had less time then and more time now. :P
ANYWAY (hah, that's my second 'anyway'). Quick sum-up of DK's birthday:

It was good.

Ok, moving on! Haha, just kidding, I'll write a little more than that---he came over (Josh and Sanya were like about to FLY TO THE MOON they were so excited to see him! It was HILARIOUS), we played a big game of Life, he won (I let him... ;D), I was a hOrrible banker (says all who played), we went in the pool, I sprained my toe (but didn't know it then), got out, changed, watched a stupid Iron Chef (it was OLD), then I went to his house and had an AMAZINGUH time. :D
So where was I before all that...OH YEAH!
We played Imaginiff and it was SO much fun! We had to list extra people so I think we added Shep, and Mr. O. and Daddy and...was there someone else? I don't remember, oh well. But it was fun and goofy. My kind of game. :] :] :] ALMOST as good as Quelf, but not quite. I NEED to get that game... :P
Then we made lunch, chocolate chip waffles. MMM. Many adventures there...haha, the toaster wasn't even on. :P

We all sat down in the living room to have a 'picnic' and guess what we watched? You'll never guess...ever ever EVA. We watched...VEGGIE TALES!!! The Rumor Weed. :] Haha, I used to have the ENTIRE THING memorized. Is that a little sad? Haha.
Then it was pool time! I wasn't sure if I wanted to go in, cause of my stupid sprained back, but mom said it would be good for it, so I went in and it was a LITTLE cold, but fun. :] I just got annoyed cause I couldn't mess around with everybody cause of my back...
Haha, so we got out and Cara checks her phone and is like, "Oh no! I got a text message! Like...AN HOUR AGO!!! I KNEW I should have checked my phone!!! *big moan*"
After awhile, we got some stuff worked out and Shep was able to come over, YAY! We watched Ratatouille, LOVE that movie. It was so funny, at one point they were holding hands on opposite ends of the couch, I almost DIED. And Josh ate an ENTIRE BAG OF POPCORN ALL BY HIMSELF. :P

Oh, haha, and it seems as if Sanya is trying to steal my boyfriend away from me...hmm...I'll have to speak to her about that. ;D
Then later we all went outside and were just sitting around and I was sitting on DK and he called me HEAVY. And then he tried to recover but failed miserably...so I got up and moved over and sat next to Cara. But bad Rachel stayed away too long so then he wouldn't take me back... :'''(

Then it was time for me, Shep, and DK to go to marching band...ugh. I did NOT have a good night. My toe and my back I could handle outside, I got used to it after awhile and it wasn't that bad, just slightly annoying. But then we moved inside and my jaw locked (if you don't know, don't ask...it's BIZARRE to explain) so I could barely play, and when I could it HURT and sounded HoRRIBLE. Then I figured out how I could make my jaw relax and it was ok for a little but then my back started to have a spasm and THEN my saxophone started to fall apart...first one of the season! ;D It was just not a good night for me...

But tonight is gonna be AMAZING. DCI!!!! WOOOOOOOOT!!!!!!!! I can't WAIT to see some of the shows again (I went to Westchester and saw it LIVE...did I ever post about that? I can't remember...) and then the new ones too, I'm looking forward to Blue Devils and Phantom. :] :] :]

AAAAANNNNDDDDDD, since I haven't really posted in awhile and I haven't done Flair in forEVA, it's time for LOTS O' FLAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(sidenote: Cara, your acting skills on the computer are totally SWELL ;D)

"Everyone laughed their heads off..."

I just started reading this mystery novel and some of the stuff the narrator says is CRACKING ME UP:

"Everyone laughed their heads off, which is not what literally happened but I like the idea of laughing heads becoming detached from bodies through extreme hilarity, so it is a good way to describe things."

"I ran a finger over my own upper lip. There were no hairs there and this was good. I wasn't sure about the ideas of hairs growing on my face. For one things shaving is dangerous. Dad often comes out of the bathroom with bits of blood-drenched toilet paper stuck to his skin. For another thing facial har is a sign that we evolved from apes."

"He defied the law of gravity. He went up but he didn't come down. Which means Newton got it wrong."

" 'Salim', she said, as if he were in the room, 'I'll have your guts for garters.' I had never heard this before and wondered what garters were. Kat told me later that they are what women used to wear around their thighs to keep their stockings up and they are elasticated. I do not think guts would be a tidy way of doing this."

"Aunt Gloria and Salim came at 6:24 p.m. on Sunday."

I LOVE that last one, sounds just like me. ;D

WOAH.

I found pictures of me from YEARS ago...OH. MA. WORD.

Hey, I look TAN...that's a first. ;D

I still wear that sweatshirt! How many years ago was this? Well I didn't have braces so...6th grade? 5th grade?

Lazy Morning

Yup...I was having a lazy morning---slept in, watched one addictive episode (Veronica Mars, LOVE IT), read for a little while, and then got on the computer. So I was strolling through the house and I saw a cook book on the table. So I start leafing through it and WA LA! I decide to make Decadant Blonde Brownies. Me and Sanya kinda messed up the recipe a little...but the batter tasted good! So I'm hoping they'll turn out alright. They're in the oven right now, and I'm off to do the dishes!

Funny moments today with DK

We were sitting on the couch watching Indiana Jones with Josh and Sanya and it was getting to parts where I'd say, "Sanya don't watch!" cause it'd be blood or something and then DK would put his hand over my eyes...

  • Sanya: "Rachel why are you using your FOOT to cover my eyes?"/Me: "Cause I can't reach with my hand." (what I really meant---I'm holding DK's hand and I'm NOT letting go! ;D)/"But...your foot STINKS."
  • We were all on the floor eating dinner and there was another icky part so DK put his hand over my eyes and I said: "I can't eat with your hand over my eyes! I can't see my mouth!!!...WAIT..."/DK: "I can't see my mouth either."/"...you know what I MEANT. I can't see my FOOD."/"Uh-huh, sure..."

Another blood part came up so I went in stood in the corner (I felt a lot like Shep ;D), and my phone was there so I grabbed it and decided to text Cara about how I wasn't watching the movie cause it was all bloody...later in the car when we're driving DK home...

  • DK: "Oh I got a text message." It was quiet for a moment and then he leans over and shows me what the message says..."Hi Cara! Right now we're watching a movie and it's at a bad part so I'm not watching. :)" OOPS.

Later on in the car...

  • DK: "So what were you talking to Cara about yesterday that you PROMISED you'd tell me today?"/Me: *sigh* "She was checking in and seeing how long I was refusing to hold your hand..."/"...ok?"/"It was payback for the prank. Guess you STILL haven't learned your lesson..." I crossed my arms and shifted away./"Oh I learned my lesson."/"Okay!" I shift back over and put my head on his shoulder./"That was easy..." ;D

Then checking the whole dominant thumb thing...HAHA!

And also my many bowls of peanut M&M's...told you they were my weakness. :P

MY STUD MUFFIN!

So I was talking to my Stud Muffin and I realized...I dunno how I met him!!! So me and Stud Muffin talked and this is our OFFICIAL story (oh, sidenote, he calls me vanilla cupcake, that's my nickname):

In a previous life I was really a vanilla cupcake and he was a stud muffin and we were in the same oven being baked in a bakery and we were created out of the same ingredients by the same baker. That is how we met. And then we were sold and eaten and reborn as Rachel and Richie!!!

HAHAHAHAH!!! That story is ALL Richie! He is a GENIUS. ;D

The answer below IS NOT correct!

So Cara's over at my house right now and we're working on our PreCalc. packets and uh...we were having some trouble so we went to the all-knowing computer, and guess what? The computer doesn't know everything!!! Read this:

The problem to solve is:
1/(x-2)>=3/(x+1)
First, let's work on the left hand side of your inequality, the 1/(x-2)This means, for instance, to see if it can be simplified at all.x-2 evaluates to x-2
Sorry, at this time the divisor may be a monomial AT MOST (e.g. contain only 1 term).
The answer below IS NOT correct.
1/(x-2) evaluates to 1
So, all-in-all, the left hand side of your inequality can be written as: 1

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Good times... ;D
