Wish it was 24 hours ago

Ok back to homework...grrr...tonight has been HORRIBLE compared to last night.

My day today wasn't too bad. Woke up at 9:30, stayed in bed until like 10:15 just thinking and daydreaming, you know how that works. ;D Ate breakfast with the youngins, played Skippo, found out that Josh basically has the whole song "Party In the USA" memorized (odd...), took care of my farm on facebook (my dad made fun of me tonight cause of it... :P), then showered and went to the high school to make decorations for homecoming. That was pretty aight. The most fun I had was sliding down the ramps with DK. :] I had my shoes off so I was just in socks so we would go down the HUGE ramp and he'd like sprint and pull me along with him and I'd be holding on his arm just completely SLIDING down the ramp and then we'd turn and keep sliding, it was so MUCH FUN. We were cracking up. :]

Then I went to an ortho appointment, told them about my jaw issues cause mom wanted me to---it was the perfect timing, I told him, he told me to open my mouth really wide, it only went so far, told me to open it wider, and it like SNAPPED. He flinched, said "Uh oh..." and then scribbled for awhile on a piece of paper. So I gotta go back to the uber soft diet (no gum...), heat compresses, and alieve...woot woot.

But after that...I WENT SHOPPING FOR HOMECOMING DRESSES!!!!!!!!

We went to Macy's first, found one that was ok...but meh, so we decided to go to JCPenny's. Found a bunch to try on, and in the end it came down to two that were REALLY different. I think we stood there debating, trying on, taking off, trying on again, for a good 15 minutes before deciding. I'm really happy with the one I got though, it's a burgundy color...and that's all I'm saying cause I know DK reads this blog and he's not allowed to know anything else about the dress. ;D

Okey dokey...more homework...huzzah...

Not happy with tonight...not quite as perfect as yesterday...yesterday was DA BEST. So much fun with DK. :] :] :]

Today was SO AWESOM.

Not enough time to type it all out but here's the highlights of my long story short day:

Played in orchestra this morning at church (improvised with Aaron!)
Went to Wendy's (SAW JAKE, AHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!)
"Be The Church" at New Life, that was really fun
Inside jokes... (that'll have its own category later ;D)
Chili!!!!
Played Apples to Apples and Yahtze (I GOT THREE YAHTZE'S IN YAHTZE!!!!!!!!!)

Ok, inside jokes...WOW...too many...don't think I can remember them all? DK tell me if I forget one...

• Meat grinder...GRRRRRRR...ok, this one deserves the story. SO. Me and DK were at the after-picnic of Be The Church, and they were serving this really yummy chili. Well...we had finished our food and everything and were just standing around in the lot just talking and I look over and I see what I THINK is like this huge machine thingy with this brown gunky stuff coming out of it? I had NO IDEA what it was! So I asked DK...he said it was a meat grinder, where they were grinding the meat for the chili. THIS MADE TOTAL SENSE TO ME. So I kinda laughed and then said I thought it was like an ant farm or something and we just kinda teased back and forth about it for awhile. Like...15 MINUTES LATER. We're standing a little closer to the meat grinder and I look closely and I'm like, "...wait a minute! That's not MEAT, it's WOOD. The guy's carving something!!!" And DK just looks at me and he's like, "DUH." I thought he was serious about the whole meat grinding thing...it made perfect sense to me...but no...I am going to be teased about that for eternity...
• MEAGHAN D. I don't know how to explain this one...basically, he's cheating on me with her. They have a 'fling' together every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday night and all day Saturday. Ok I should explain...DK and Meaghan (she plays mello) have a duet together in the Intro of our show, and we've been working on the intro a lot lately, so they'll have to go off together to work on it or stand together during a run-through inside. So the first time we played it in a run through we were outside in an arch around the pit and when we're arched DK stands next to me (:D :D :D). But just before we start, DK raises his hand and asks Mr. O. if he can go stand next to Meaghan. Mr. O. glances at me and then says, "Well only if it's ok with Rachel" so it's kinda now this ongoing joke and it was just SO hysterical on Sunday...like everything was either, "Oh, so did you tell that to Meaghan too? Would Meaghan do this for you?" and just stuff like that. HI-LAR-I-OUS.
• DK's mom told me I have a big butt...well, not really...it was a hysterically funny misunderstanding.
• SUNBURN...self-explanatory, I burn SO easily it's not even funny...ok mehbe a little. ;D

Skillet...

So I haven't really listened to Skillet at all lately...like for 6 or 7 months.

It's not like "Oh I hate Skillet" but like...I put my iTunes library on shuffle and if one of their songs come up I usually skip it cause of...well, reasons I think only one other person understands, maybe two.

"Say Goodbye" just came on...I forgot how good it is...it's funny, every time I listen to it there's a different meaning in it, but always the memories of what it's meant to me in the past. Amazing how music can completely control how you think and feel about something...

Blurb

So I haven't done many "blurbs" lately just about how my day was so I figured...hey! What better time to procrastinate on science homework and write a blurb?

Here's my blurb:

I woke up excited. Do not ask my why or any of those questions...I honestly have no idea why. But I woke up at my early 5:23 time that DK highly disapproves of and always makes snide comments about, and was...excited. I dunno about what...school? Seeing friends? Eating breakfast? Taking a long hot shower (which I did... ;D)? I dunno, but I woke up excited, rather bizarre way to start the day.

Took my shower, ate breakfast at the computer (my breakfasts' usually last about 15 minutes...breakfast is my facebook time ;D (oh, and don't tell anyone I eat breakfast at the computer...I'd get in trouble for having food near the keyboard...) ) <---double parenthesis!!! Haha...Cara... ;D

ANYWHO.

Finished breakfast, finished up some homework (that's due THURSDAY...I THOUGHT IT WAS DUE TODAY...so not happy when that happens...), tried something new with my hair, and then off to school!

Sidenote: we had a sub bus driver...I got on the bus and it smelled like smoke...DIS-GUST-ING.

Got to school, squeezed into our little (er...big) circle of friends at the bus circle, could tell that DK was tired/not in a good mood which got me upset cause I don't like when he's upset. :(

Sidenote: Cara's sweatshirt said SHEP today...ish. ;D

Went to band...had to get up and blow my nose like twenty times...using like ten tissues every time I got up...so annoying. I hate being sick. And I especially hate being sick for more than three days.

Went to English...oh! Ian complemented my hair, which made me happy. :] The rest of that class was good, Mrs. Foster taught us (instead of student teacher)!!!! Yay!!!! Love her...SO funny, we ended up talking about pee for like a quarter of the period, DO NOT ASK.

Went to German...got a 135 point test back, I got a B...meh, stupid mistakes, I was hoping for an A, but it's ok for a first big grade.

Lunch...nothing too exciting, sorry, no stories like last year...lunch is rather boring.

AP...got our first mulitple choice test back...I got a (insert letter of grade that I consider a curse word because it's such a horrible grade). So yeah, not too happy. But then I realized that you know...it was the first huge test which always stinks, AND I hadn't studied. If I had studied and I got the (insert profanity here) I was have been really mad, but it's ok. I'll just make sure I do really good on the next test.

OH! Haha!!! So during AP today me and Micah decided that we're twins cause our pencils always match. ALWAYS. It's freaky...like it's the same brand and you know that colored part on the side of mechanical pencils? Yeah, it's always the same. Thursday we both had green, Friday we both had purple, and today we both had dark blue. We're AWESOM. So we're twins. IT'S OFFICIAL.

OH!!! Speaking about official!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haha, and the walk from AP to Pre-Calc ALWAYS makes my day. Me and Micah walk together (cause he's in my math class too) and we always make graphs. Like...hmm...how do I describe this...like, we'll be walking down the hallway and I'll shout out, "Absolute value!" and so we walk towards one wall at an angle and then once we get to the wall we pretend like the wall is the origin and then so we bounce back to the other wall in the shape of a V, you know...an absolute value graph:

It's great! People stare...we just laugh cause we're having a great time. Oh! And today we raced up the two sets of stairs. There's the main hallway and on either side there are stairs going up to the second floor, so he went one way and I went another and we raced, it was so much fun. :D

ANYWHEN (I told you it was coming).

Math was good, I talked to Matt a bit after class (we had like five minutes), he's dropping out. :( So today was the last day he was in our class, which stinks cause he's like the only one who talks and he's HYSTERICAL.

Then I went and unzipped Micah's backpack and while I was unzipping his...UNKNOWN TO ME...Jess and Sean and Andre were unzipping my backpack (they were behind me). ANDRE STOLE MY CALCULATOR. AND I DIDN'T EVEN REALIZE IT UNTIL WE WERE IN THE HALL AND WAS LIKE, "Hmm...Rachel do you want this???"

SPEAKING OF ANDRE.

We had science lab today, so I was there for two periods...woopee. Actual science class was boring but the lab was ok, haha, I felt like I was doing an art project, it was a lot of cutting and gluing and labelling and stuff.

Sidenote: Tyler K. just IMed me on facebook!!! YAYYYY!!!!!!!! MORE PROCRASTINATION (plus he's a pretty cool kid...for an 8th grader, hehe, kidding, he's my buddy :D).

SO WE FINALLY GOT THE COMPUTER BACK.

Yeah...I haven't been just ignoring my blog or anything, our computer got sicko and had to go out of towno to get fixedo. It was gone for like...TWO WEEKS. Talk about frustration...

So anyway...IT'S BACK. HUZZAH. The only bad news...THEY DIDN'T FIX THE PORTS. So that iPod that I lost for three months and then I found and then I hooked up to the computer and then crashed and haven't been able to use for another three months? Yup, that's STILL not fixedo. Not happy.

I gotta go to church soon, but I figured I should post just cause I haven't in such a long time.

Wow...so much has happened. I don't think I wanna do quick summaries of all of it...do I? Well...er...no. It'd be way too long. So um...here's my uber quick summary:

Oh I was so happy...beyond happy...beyond ectastic...uh...what's after that? I dunno, I was just REALLY happy. I saw them marching out after their show and I started SCREAMING names but I got in trouble for that...uh oh. :P

So then we're sitting in the stands watching bands and I keep checking the side hill for a huge blob of red and I don't see them! Then FINALLY they come up!!! I was like hopping up and down...you guys should have seen me. ;D

Then Hannah, Danny, and Jeffrey come up into the stands with us and I like NEEDED to get up and give them hugs but I couldn't move until the end of the performance (which was only 10 seconds more but STILL). Oh so happy...mmm mmm MMM. Then we got up and could walk around and they were all there!!! Wow it's been a long time...

So that was great, put me in a really good mood. :]

Got my food, went back to the stands, and had a great night sitting with DK and talking about bands and just having a good time. I had an AWESOM night. :D

Sidenote: bus ride home was good. ;D

Off to church now! I'm assuming we're not picking DK up...he hasn't texted me back yet...poor guy, he was EXHAUSTED last night...
