"Shopping Online"

So I'm doing that whole shopping online thing...except I'm not really shopping online. I just had a sudden urge to go look at the site of this one store that I've been wanting to go to and I saw some really cute stuff, so I'm just gonna have fun and post what I would buy if I could...cause I'm a girl and I like clothes. ;D

I really like the design at the top.

I love yellow. :]

I like ADORE this top...bet you wouldn't guess it's $47... :(

I like boots...just not boots that are really long or have heels, so I like these. ;D

Cute 3/4 sleeve. I like button-down stuff too, I just don't have a lot of it.
Wanted to get something like these last summer but didn't have enough money. They're my dream sandals. ;D

I love the whole short sleeve sweater thing!

Love the color! It's such a sipmle dress but I really like it.

A little too short for my taste...but I like it other than that.

ADORE.

Lightbulb!

So I had this idea, and I'm actually pretty excited about it. It was my lightbulb moment of the day!!!

Throughout this year, there have been MANY MANY MANY days where I've just been like...wanting life to pause for a second so I can really spend some time on something...whether that something be silly, or like chill time...just whatever.

So my idea was that this summer I would devote every day to something different and new, and I would spend the day mostly doing that. Some ideas I've had are:
  • Making a Word document chalk-full (anyone understand that expression?) of amazing quotes and lyrics and organizing the entire thing. (I absolutely LOVE doing silly little projects like that)
  • Having a game day, just like playing as many games as possible with Josh and Sanya.
  • A cooking day where I just bake all day and get flour all over me. ;D
  • Exercise day, cause I enjoy pushing myself for that every now and then. That feeling after a great workout...LOVE IT!
  • Homework day, cause that's definitely needed and it's easier for me to devote one whole day (or a couple days) to it instead of like little bits of time over the summer.
  • Crazy shopping day! Ok, this one I've been wanting to do for awhile. And by "crazy" I don't mean like getting a lot of stuff or spending a lot of money. Just like going to places that are considered "different" and seeing what I can dig through and find. Like thrift stores. I LOVE those places. And maybe like going to Forever 21 and rummaging through the piles in the back to get those five dollar deals. That sorta thing.

Those are what I've thought of so far...but I really like the idea. Like I know it's good for me to have a schedule and stuff cause it keeps me from getting too bored or just sitting and doing nothing for DAYS. So I'm gonna see if I can think up any other ideas!!! :D

Stack O'Quotes!!

"Don't trip me. I can fall for you on my own."

"I'm glowing everywhere...my toes, my heart. You can't see it. It's on the inside."

"You know that feeling you get when you're on a roller coaster for the first time? Or you're going too high on a swing? Or you hit some certain bumps on the road and your stomach kinda flips? That's the way I feel when I'm around you... not all the time, but there's those times when you look at me, or you'll hold me; and I can't even explain it... but that's what I feel."

"It took me a while to understand the beauty of just letting go."

"But then I thought maybe it's not that I'm more beautiful today. Maybe I was just as beautiful yesterday, only I lacked the self-esteem to recognize it."

"My face was hurting from smiling so much. Does that ever happen to you?"

"I have to believe that when things are bad, I can change them."

"Why do we close our eyes when we kiss? Why do we close our eyes when we dream? Because the best things in the world are unseen."

"Never fear shadows, for they mean a light is nearby."

"If you are afraid of criticism … say nothing, do nothing, be nothing."

"It's crazy how we always end up where we're meant to, how even the most ironic situations eventually teach you something you'd never dreamed you were going to learn."

The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time."

"I dare you to move, I dare you to lift yourself up off the floor. I dare you to move, like today never happened, today never happened before."

"Draw a line. Live above it.”

"What would you do if you knew you couldn't fail?"

"I feel like I can face the day, I can forgive, and I'm not ashamed to be the person that I am today."

I actually had feelings about today. Sounds odd I know...I'll explain.

Usually my school day is just...so-so. It's basically the same every morning once homeroom starts...cause before that I'm at the bus circle with my man and stuff is usually crazy and random then, haha. ;D

But today was different. Well, it was the same, but then it got different. Haha...wow can you tell that I should probably go to bed soon? Whew...ok.

My day was pretty much the 'norm' up until ninth period. Went to my classes throughout the day...yada yada...and like, by 'norm' I don't mean everything's EXACTLY the same every day, I do different stuff in classes, it's just like...there. Like I don't have much emotion or feeling in it.

But today in science I experienced upset and then happy. The happy came after the upset and saved my day and turned it into a pretty good day, so I'm really glad about that. :]

The upset...yeah, well, I've already talked about it to a few people and I don't wanna continue going on about it cause I'm not gonna hold it against them...so it's all good. I mean...at the time it wasn't, but it's ok now.

I dunno if this post made much sense...but basically, I actual FELT something about the school day, which is different...but it was good.

Sidenote: I don't understand the math??? Yaay having to memorize the unit circle???

First DATE!!!

AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It FINALLY happened!!!! Me and my man (he's being referred to that more and more lately...haha, it makes me laugh ;D) got to go on our first date last Saturday!!! *happy squeal*

So yeah...almost ten months together, and we went out for the first time. Haha...that was mostly cause there was one time my mom said something and we took it a certain way and assumed she didn't want us to go on actual dates and so me and David would talk about wanting to go out together but we never brought it up. SILLY US. I brought it up one day (very upset...) and mom was all confused and so we talked it out (yay amazing relationship with my mom!!!) and she agreed!!! So even though David can't drive yet, we can still go out and do stuff, parents just have to drive us there and pick us up, which I guess is a hassle but it's better than nothing.

Ok, so Saturday. This is gonna be my fun little blurb that goes on and on about it, I hope you don't mind. I generally don't like to just bring this sorta stuff up with other people, cause I've had friends who will just go ONNNNNNNNNNNNN about something and it's kinda like...no offense, but I'm not all that interested. So I don't wanna do that to people. But I'm doing it now...haha, so pardon my uh...blurb. ;D

We decided...I guess rather my uber smart man decided, that we should go out to Olive Garden. Lemme just say that I was THRILLED to be going there! Not only is a great restaurant and personal favorite of mine, it's also REALLY nice, at least I think so. In my mind I had never pictured a really nice place...I have no idea why, cause I love like the really nice stuff and I'm a 'romantic' and all that, but for some BIZARRE reason...that's not what I pictured. So my expectations were already MANY rankings up on the totem pole.

And me being the little excited girlfriend I curled my hair and wore my nice sparkly shoes and all that...haha. He complimented me on it, which made me feel extra good (he compliments me a LOT...I love it!!! ;D). And he was wearing this nice collared purple (I ABSOLUTELY LOVE PURPLE, ESPECIALLY ON MY MAN) shirt and he looked so handsome. :]

Ok, onto the actual DATE part...haha.

Mom picked him up and we drove down there (counting yellow cars...he beat me...14-7) and then dropped us off. It worked out really well, cause we were just able to walk right in and get a table. So we sat...and ordered...and talked. I HAD SO MUCH FUN. Like...some of the stuff we talked about was the serious stuff that's going on in life and everything, but it was just so nice to be able to talk to him about that over OLIVE GARDEN BREADSTICKS. ;D

Ok, so the most important part...THE FOOD, haha!!! We both had Shirley Temples (mine refilled once...YUM), and we also both had the Chicken & Gnocchi soup. SO AMAZING. There were dumplings! I like almost giggled when I had the first dumpling, IT WAS THAT GOOD. And then we had stuffed mushrooms. STUFFED MUSHROOMS.

Oh yeah...good stuff. It was great.

Afterwards we just walked around the huge plaza. It was that Olive Garden up by the new HUGE Wegman's. So we strolled (haha, funny word) and ended up going into Five and Below. I OFFICIALLY LOVE THAT STORE (it's official!). He got sunglasses, earphones to replace the ones that broke, silly string cause you gotta buy silly string, and then I 'bought' (it was his money but I'm gonna pay him back) a shirt that says "MISTER" and then an arrow beneath it pointing to the right. I thought it was cute and uber appropriate. :]

Haha! And then we saw this couple wearing two BEYAWESOM shirts that me and him HAVE to get some day. ;D

We walked to Best Buy after that and just looked at all the DVDs and made fun of some stuff and looked at others we were interested in.

After his mom picked us up, we went back to his house and just chilled. We put in "Blades of Glory"...IT IS A HORROR MOVIE.

YEAH. I CAN'T GET OVER IT.

So anyway...AMAZINGUH day minus the girl's head falling off part. ;D

ME IN TEN YEARS

Whenever I'm coming home from jazz band, the road curves close to a section of the trail. So today after mom picked me up, we're driving along and I look over on the trail and can only see from the shoulders up of these two women walking on the trail. For some reason, one of them really stood out to me. She looked like she was in her mid-twenties and she looked GREAT. Like she had her hair pulled back and stuff but she just looked really good. All this goes through my head in less than a second and then we see them both pushing baby strollers along the trail and talking.

The first thought that ran through my head was, "I WANT THAT TO BE ME IN TEN YEARS". I would LOVE to have a kid when I was that young and look that awesome! Like she looked like a COOL mom. She was in great shape, wearing a tank top and capris that complimented her figure, and just looked amazing overall.

So yeah, that was my thought of the day. I wanna have a baby when I'm young and I wanna be able to look that great after it. :]

PCJB

I had...the STRANGEST experience last night...in a good way.

We were at the jazz show and a band came on and, well first off they all looked like adults, and secondly, they were AMAZING. Totally beyond anything you'd expect out of high school students...better than any high school I've ever heard. And they were fun to watch too, cause their saxes got really into it and were practically dancing and bouncing in their seats. Very entertaining. ;D

But anyway...their second piece was a Duke Ellington, I think? And there was an alto sax solo. I LOVE when alto saxes solo. Like...I don't mind tenors, and an occasional bari is pretty cool, and I like those trumpets who got attitude, and the trombones with the swagger, but NOTHING is better to me, than a good alto sax solo. I guess just cause it's what I play.

So in the second song, it featured their first alto sax player.

...I'm like sitting here right now, trying to figure out how to convey what it was like listening to it...I can't figure out if I should a bunch of adjectives or just nothing at all...

I'm going with nothing at all, cause there's no way to describe it. I was like...I dunno how to explain...ok, so think about if you see a movie you really really like, and it takes like ALL the emotion out of you, whether it's crying (The Notebook), laughing (What's Up Doc?), anger (Avatar) or anything like that. That's kinda what it was like for me to listen to it. It just yanked all the emotion out of me. Hah...that sounds like harsh or something but I can't figure out how else to say it...

So I was sitting there, body shaking unvoluntarily, stomach flipping, heart racing, and feeling like I should cry because it was just so OVERWHELMING.

Now David's gonna be all upset with me for posting this cause he's gonna be like "You're fawning over the dude who played it..." but I'm not. I'm not all hyped up about HIM. Just the music and the SOUND.

I have NEVER reacted to music in that way EVER. It was one of the best music experiences I have ever had.
