This morning I went to FCA (basically, a Bible study before school) with Tucker, Cara, and Charlie and while we were there, one of the leaders used an analogy to describe God's love for us and I thought it was great, so here you go...
*looks through wallet and pulls out a bill*
"I have a one dollar bill...who wants it?"
*people around the room raise their hand...who wouldn't want free money?*
"Okay..." *throws the bill on the ground, stomps on it, picks it up and crumples it in his hand, puts a little tear in it* "Who still wants this?"
*same people raise their hand*
"And why do you still want it? Cause it's worth the same exact amount. It still has value...even though it has dirt on it, it's not smooth and perfect, and there's a couple tears. We still want it. Just like God still wants and loves us even though our lives aren't perfect, we've messed up a LOT, and sometimes we just feel dirty compared to Him. But that's ok. That doesn't change anything. He will love us no matter what."

Mmmmmmmm
"I've been awake for a while now
You've got me feeling like a child now
'Cause every time I see your bubbly face
I get the tinglies in a silly place
It starts in my toes
Makes me crinkle my nose
Wherever it goes
I always know
That you make me smile
Please stay for a while now
Just take your time
Wherever you go
The rain is falling on my window pane
But we are hiding in a safer place
Under covers staying dry and warm
You give me feelings that I adore
What am I going to say
When you make me feel this way
I just mmmmm
I've been asleep for a while now
You tuck me in just like a child now
'Cause every time you hold me in your arms
I'm comfortable enough to feel your warmth
And it starts in my soul
And I lose all control
When you kiss my nose
The feeling shows
'cause you make me smile baby
Just take your time now
Holdin' me tight"
You've got me feeling like a child now
'Cause every time I see your bubbly face
I get the tinglies in a silly place
It starts in my toes
Makes me crinkle my nose
Wherever it goes
I always know

UTILIZE
Utilize is an awesome word...it just sounds so cool and is incredibly more exciting than just saying "used".
I used the steak knife.

"Blues in Hoss Flat"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kS21T_p0pNA
WATCH IT.
Not only is it an amusing scene, the song in the background is one that Jazz 1 (which David is in) played at the Big Band Bash at Kutztown tonight. Oh my word...it was so good.
Quick run-down of the night and then I gots to go to bed:
Dad printed out directions to Kutztown and we were following them until we realized a bridge was out and the directions needed us to go over that bridge...so we backtracked and I was the car's personal GPS as I remembered the ONE other time I had gone a different route to Kutztown...amazingly, I got us there. AND we were early!!!
Got there, saw David in the lobby wearing a very spiffy suit (WITH AN AWESOME PURPLE SHIRT! AW YEAH PURPLE YEAH!), big hug, got to talk to him for a couple of minutes, then we went in and grabbed some seats near the front and on the side...so we were like RIGHT next to where the bands set up. The "concert" (they didn't wanna call it a concert cause it wasn't formal at all...people were dancing and whooping and just having a good time) consisted of Jazz 1 and Jazz 2 going back and forth with different charts.
Oh mylanta it was all so good...SO much fun to listen to. And there were a LOT of people dancing on the floor which just created this really relaxed/groovy (yes, I said groovy) atmosphere. I even got up and danced with my dad during "In the Mood"! Granted we only really danced in a circle...but it was still great!
Overall...fantastic night. I was SO happy seeing David (hugging David... ;D), hearing him play with the jazz band, AND ALSO HEARING HIM SOLO.
I be very proud of my man. :)
