Ok...I must go study for the math benchmark I have tomorrow (which he told us about today...ugh) but I HAD to post this!!!
It's the drill-down from our parent preview, the VERY beginning of our amazing marching band season!!! Skip to like 1:30 to where he actually starts calling out commands.
Sidenote: For those of you who weren't in marching band...I'm one of the ones in the blue shirts, in the second row next to the yellow. I'm about the fourth one back. You can see me more towards the end. I'm the one with the swinging ponytail!!! Haha. Also...I'm the one who messes up real bad at the end...haha, you'll see. ;D
This makes me so happy, so many awesome memories...mmm...great ending to a good day.
Speaking of good day...today's me and my man's official 10 month!!!!

4th Graders, Sandwiches, and Periods!
Pretty much every Monday I get a ride home from Amy, and she usually gives Trolley a ride home too. We've had some fun, interesting conversations before...but NOTHING tops today...
We were all just talking about random stuff and then Amy says, "So today my 4th graders got the puberty talk!" and I bet you can just IMAGINE where the conversation went from there, haha. ;D But then Trolley was like, "I was always curious what the girls talk about..." and so me and Amy co-launch this in depth story which eventually gets to the part about, "And then they showed us tampons and pads."
WELL. Once you get two crazy girls (yes I admit I'm crazy... ;D) talking about pads and periods and stuff and they can tell a guy's starting to get uncomfortable, they will go ALL OUT. So that's exactly what we did.
We shared our "first-time" stories and other rather delightful experiences, pretty much as loud as we could. After awhile it was kinda just like me and Amy talking to each other and cracking up cause we knew EXACTLY how the other person had felt and what they'd dealt with, but every now and then we'd remember that Trolley was there cause he'd groan and sink even lower into his seat...you know, I'm sure it's not the nicest things to make guys that uncomfortable, but I have to admit...it's a LOT of fun. Part of it is wanting them to understand how HORRIBLE it is...like me and Amy were saying we'd wish a guy would have to deal with it JUST ONCE. They have NO IDEA...hah. ;D
And if you're wondering about why "Sandwich" is in the title...it's cause I'm hungry and want a sandwich. :]

Slightly Odd/Slightly Nostalgic
I had a slightly odd/slightly nostalgic moment last night.
I decided to try something different with my hair, so I took a shower (AT NIGHT, I NEVER TAKE SHOWERS AT NIGHT) and then french braided my hair. But instead of having the part on the side like I usually do, I just put it in the middle cause it's easier for me to french braid that way.
After I braided, I went and watched TV for awhile, read a bit, got ready for bed, and then climbed into bed. JUST as I was on the verge of falling over the cliff of sleep, I remembered that I had forgotten to put my retainers in. So I got out of my comfy bed, stumbled down the ladder, and into the bathroom.
I flicked the light switch on, and instead of just reaching over for my blue container, I looked up at myself in the mirror. And I looked...hmm...I dunno how to describe it...I looked cute, but in the being young/little way. And it just kinda shocked me. Like I looked like this little innocent girl. I dunno if it was the middle part or the braids, probably both, but I just ended up staring at myself...and remembering. I started thinking back to when that was the way I looked. And then after about three minutes of staring, I had to stop myself cause I didn't want to think too much about the way things used to be. So I grabbed my retainer and went back to bed.

Portrait of an ESFJ...that's me!!!
Going along with the last post...I went back and looked at my personality profile for fun and started reading some stuff again and figured I'd post some thoughts. So here I go!!
For those who don't know...I'm an ESFJ (caregiver), which stands for Extraverted, Sensing, Feeling, and Judging.
I was just reading through the thing again (http://www.personalitypage.com/ESFJ.html) and I could pick a lot of stuff out cause I think it's pretty much ALL true, but I thought I'd point out my 'weaknesses' and stuff, cause I think that's good for me to realize and think about.
"ESFJs are such caring individuals, that they sometimes have a hard time seeing or accepting a difficult truth about someone they care about."
This is all VERY true...I know that I look for the best in people, and once I find it, it's hard for me to see much else. Like I've said before...it usually takes me about five minutes to figure out whehter I like someone or not. 98.7% (random number... ;D) of the time I like the person. And once I've subconsciously established that I like them, it's difficult for me to see the "wrongs" about them. Like...I'll notice stuff, but it won't be as big of a deal to me or won't matter as much and I can blow it off much easier because I just generally like them, which I know can (and has) hurt me. But with those I generally DON'T like, it's EXTREMELY difficult for me to find something good about them. Which I don't like or appreciate about myself.
"All ESFJs have a natural tendency to want to control their environment."
Oh YES...I like everything being a certain way, I know that. And when change comes...well, either two things happen. Either I'm completely thrown off and it's BAD, or I observe the changes very quickly and can figure out what I can do to control the change that's happening. I know that this isn't always a bad thing, but it can become bad when I do ALL the controlling and won't let anyone else do it. I'm very independent, and I know that. I've relied upon myself a LOT in the past, and I still do it today, though less cause I have David.
That's been an interesting thing for me, letting him have some control of the environment and letting myself rely on him. He makes those two things VERY easy to do because I trust him so much, but there's still sometimes that urge within me to just take everyone into my own hands, cause I like to think that I can handle myself the best.
Another thing that goes with this is privacy. I NEED that control. I NEED that privacy. I am an EXTREMELY private person. Things that don't seem like a big deal to some people are HUGE for me. One of my biggest pet peeves is when I tell someone something I consider a "private thing", and then they go tell someone else cause my...I guess you could call it "secret", isn't a big deal to them.
"They're usually quite popular and good with people, and good at manipulating them."
Uh-huh...OUCH. And I know it. I know that I know how to manipulate. I did it ALL the time when I was little. And I was GOOD. And today that scares me, because I don't wanna manipulate people. I mean, there's good manipulation as in persuasion for a good cause, and so I don't mind that. But the bad manipulation? Youch...I try and stay away from that. But every now and then...I catch myself...I think this is the thing about myself that I don't like the most. Because it's hard for me to control sometimes.
Ok so I think that's good for tonight...wow this seems like a REALLY personal post to me...hah. So you guys got to read a bit about what goes on in my head about some of the not-so-great parts of me. I hope you...uh...enjoyed? How bout learned something? There we go, that's better. Hope you learned something and maybe understand some things a little more.

My dear dahlin' Cara...
...you are NOT an ISFJ. Maybe the test thingy said that, but we both know lots of stuff has changed and that may have affected things, but STILL...you are DEFINITELY INFJ. Reading over the two of them I can kinda see the ISFJ, like there are parts, but I totally feel like the INFJ is you (THAT'S YOU!!! ;D). Especially cause of the intuitive. And no you don't have "less", it's still alive and well. Please don't doubt yourself. Love you birdie! :]

Kissin' my man!
Yesterday was HYSTERICAL.
My man came over after jazz band and we made chili and cornbread! Yay something new!!! It turned out well. The chili was had less edge and wasn't so spicy so I LOVED it.
Sidenote: if you're not laughing yet, that's ok...I haven't reached the funny part. ;D
After dinner, mom had to go to CVS to get a prescription or something. Me and David were cleaning up the dishes and dancing to the song that goes like, "Then I saw her face...now I'm a believer!" THAT one. I love that songuh (tally!). ;D So anyway, somehow Sanya ended up in the kitchen with us dancing and singing along and stuff. We had finished clean up and so we were just all chilling and Sanya reached up and tried to kiss me. Now...background time. Ever since I was really little, I made this HUGE deal out of kissing. Like I'd always look away really dramatically or say "Ewww!!!" or something like that. So of course...it's been Sanya's goal as of forever ago to try and kiss me whenever she can. We have a lot of games with it, like the kissing monster and stuff and Josh gets involved sometimes but it's mostly Sanya.
So she tried to kiss me and I'm like, "Nope! No! I won't kiss you!!!" and she pouted for awhile and then said something like, "Would you kiss DK?" and as I was nodding my head enthusiastically her face just like turned from this little funny smirk to a look of TOTAL SHOCK. Of course then she wanted us to kiss...she was so funny, she was like hopping up and down and smiling and just STARING at us. It was ADORABLE.
To be funny, I said, "Ok I'll kiss him!" and then reached up and kissed him really quick on the cheek. She got SO worked up over it, she was like, "No no no! Not like that!!! The REAL way!"
So as I start going up on my tippy toes to kiss him the REAL way, the song changes on B101 and it goes to commercial. So I'm like, "Nope! I can't kiss him anymore Sanya...I need a nice song in the background."
We switched up the stations a few times and then I went to 102.1 or something and "Hey, Soul Sister" was on. So of course I was like, "I love this song!!!! (thank you Jess!)" and Sanya skipped over to the bench by the table and sat down, staring at us expectantly.
And then...WE KISSED.
Her reaction was the FUNNIEST THING.
She SPRINTED over to me, grabbed me, and hugged me SOOOOO tightly!!!! She was like, "I'm so happy I'm so happy!!! I can't believe you did that!!! AHHHH!!!! I'm so proud of you Rachel!!!!!!!!"
Me and David were DYING of laughter.
Best night at my house EVA. Not only did I get to cook, talk, listen to some great music, dance like crazy, and make Sanya happy...I got to kiss ma' man. ;D

I wanna be a big loser!!!!!!!!
Ok, so I must blog the two funny highlights of my night and then I'm off to working ahead on Human Geo!!! Be VERY proud of me... ;D
So first off, tonight's dad's night and he came over and made...BANANA NUT PANCAKES. They are SO good. Like...close to being as good as blueberry pancakes made with fresh blueberries. No...they're AS good as blueberry pancakes. Just...AMAZINGUH. So we were all eating our wonderul pancakes and playing Uno (as is the tradition) and after the first round, Josh went out with a WHOLE bunch of points (which is bad...for all you non-Uno players, which should be no one now that I think about it...so just ignore this little blurb! ;D) and I was like, "YESSSSS" and he just looked at me and said, "Why'd you do that?" and I explained, "Cause I'M usually the one who gets a lot of points, but this time it's not me! I won't lose!" and then dad says something like, "Yup...right now Josh is the biggest loser". So him saying that TOTALLY made me think of Biggest Loser the TV show and the point of the show is the lose weight and actually be the biggest loser...so then I exclaimed, "Ooh! I wanna be a big loser!!!!!!" and it just was HYSTERICAL. Not exactly what I had meant. :P
Ok, second thing. Josh has been sick-ish for the past two days and so his throat hurts and his voice is a little odd/scratchy/whatever the word is. Well for some reason...sometimes when he talks, it doesn't sound like the "sick/scratchy"...it sounds a little bit like what his voice will be like after he goes through puberty. And it just CRACKS ME UP. Like...here's my stick of a brother, who sounds really funny but every now and then I get this LITTLE glimpse of what he'll sound like...it makes me laugh. :D
Now off to...non-procrastination? I don't even know what to call it!!! ;D
