Favorite part of tonight

...well I guess that title is rather deceiving, cause I'm gonna write two things.

First...Cara and I were talking and hippos and sizes 152-ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ and then my mom glanced at the screen and saw "I'll take a picture and send it to you" and she thought it was something else....AHAHAHAHA!!!

And then---
Some random person: "Rachel, why haven't you waxed your eyebrows?"
Me: "Cara loves them just the way they are, so gosh darn it! They're gonna stay the way they are!" ;D
Ephesians 4:31

Psalms 37:8

Thanks so much Jenny...you've always been here for me when I need it and you always know exactly what I need. I love you so much. God has used you to touch my life in so many ways, and I am SO grateful.

Got protection?

FUNNY STORY!!!! *slaps table*

So David came over yesterday after wind ensemble. We ate bagels (NOM NOM NOM) and played piano (well...I played ;D) and sang together (SO MUCH FUN!!!!) and ate tortellini (not tortellinO) and yummy bread for dinner. Haha...dinner was so funny. I can't even remember everything that happened, all I know is that there was like three times when everyone was laughing for like five minutes straight...I can't remember what it was though. Towards the end of dinner, I started HYSTERICALLY cracking up about something (can't remember what it was, ugh...how odd is that???) and I legitimately FELL OUT OF MY CHAIR. I think I leaned over cause I was laughing so hard and I expected the back of the other chair to be there and it wasn't and so I lost my balance and just...tipped...like a cow, haha. ;D

So then I was lying on the floor, my feet up in the air on my chair, with a very sore back and an even more sore head, and I was laughing even HARDER. My eyes were closed and when I looked up I had like...the paparazzi over me!!! David and Josh and Sanya were all trying to get pictures of me laughing on the floor...woooooow. I finally got up and went over to the couch and CRASHED. My head was killing me and my laughing had exhausted me...my abs had gotten quite a work out. ;D

Ok, now moving on to the funny story, that wasn't it. ;D

So we decided to play Outrage. It was Josh, me, David, mom, and dad.

Quick run down on the game: you're a robber, you're trying to steal the queen's jewels. You collect cards around the board and the cards are either labelled as Burglary Tools (such as Dynamite, a File, etc.), Attack Cards (Bow and Arrow, Dagger, Mace, all that fun stuff) or something else that helps you in the game.

So we're all playing and Josh and David have jewels and are trying to collect more so they can win. Well I had NO Burglary Tools whatsoever but I had a ton of Attack Cards, so I figured I'd go and attack David. I declared my attack (...I just realized that sounds REALLY funny ;D) and he was like, "Uh..." cause this was only the second time he had played. So then mom tries to help him out...she asks, "Do you have protection???"

...my dad started laughing and then we were all CRACKING UP. I think we laughed for like then minutes straight...and then we kept cracking up every time someone attacked another player later on in the game. IT WAS HYSTERICAL...and awkward. :P

When she asked if he had protection she meant a suit of armor, but of course...no one thought about that...

WHAT A NIGHT.

"God loves me...and you"

My little crazy sister who is incredibly cute and adorable though can be annoying at times, completely amazed me tonight.

First off...I was kinda lying up in bed just dozing and zoning and she looked at me and she asked if I wanted her to read me a book. I was UTTERLY (haha...funny word) confused cause it came out of nowhere, but then I remembered...the other night at dinner, I shared that I really like it when somebody reads a book to me. And so she offered to read me a book and rub my foot at the same time, cause she knows that two things that I absolutely love. How sweet is that???

She read two books to me. The first was a version of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, and the second was Horton Hears a Who. Well I fell asleep during that one...haha. And then she woke me up and we just sat and talked on my bed for half an hour...it was pretty cool.

The second thing that amazed me is when she started talking about God. Like she was just going through her routine for Saturday morning and she was talking about how she read her devotions and that she liked to have quiet time to talk with God and then she told me what they were learning about in Sunday School (or whatever it's called?) and she went on and on, telling me about all this stuff, and then she asked if I had noticed the sign in the bathroom. And I said yupp!! She taped up a sign in our upstairs bathroom with a big heart that says "God Loves Me...and You" and lots of other colorful stuff and it's right on the mirror so you see it every time you go up there. It's actually really cool.

So yeah, that was my time of bragging about how cute my sister can be.

Cereal Always Tastes Better at 3:34 PM

Yupp. I'm having a bowl of cereal right now, and it is YUMMMMMY!

Quick sidenote: It hurts to type...I got a paper cut today (that's the second one...I got one yesterday too...grr...) and it's like...on my palm near my thumb, and so whenever I move my thumb it stretches the skin around the paper cut which makes it open up again and it STINGS so badly...haha...I was just about to ask why did God create paper cuts. :P

So school today was...interesting? I dunno if that's the right but uh...yeah. There were four fights during the school day. All of which happened before noon. How crazy is that? What is going ON??? Fights are SO stupid. It's basically people wanting attention, and they certainly do get that attention. Everyone in the entire school pretty much knows everything, even if you weren't there for any of them. Isn't it amazing how that works? Like as you'd walk down the hall you'd hear everyone talking about it---wanting to know who it was between, why it started, who started it, who "won", and how badly the other person got hurt. Crazy crazy crazy...

So that was the big news of the day. It was so scary going up to the third floor for science...there was like a State Trooper (I think?) standing in the hallway with his intimidating uniform and his even more intimidating gun and taser. Then there were cops and all that fun jazz and people were arrested and blah blah blah.

The other big thing that happened today was that I had a sub in homeroom. That in itself isn't really that big of a deal, but it was WHO the sub was that made it such a big deal. When I walked into homeroom he was standing right in my front of my desk looking at the seating chart and stuff and when I slid into my seat and he glanced up and sincerely apologized for being in my "space", which I thought was nice of him. Then I noticed something about him...he was...different. Like the kind of different that makes you wonder if he has a disability or something. His eyes were a very pale blue...and not quite focused on anything. They weren't centered like most people's, one was a little off to the side and the other was a little farther up than what's considered "normal". And when he stepped away from my desk I noticed that he had a limp...he dragged one leg behind him.

As he was calling out attendance, he looked like he was struggling with the pen to write. Like he had to focus extra hard to make his hand do what he wanted it to do. But it didn't slow him down...he just pushed right through it.

Then the principal came over the loud speaker and started the pledge, which he echoed after her in a loud strong voice. After the moment of silence (sidenote: which is supposed to be for prayer but they give you about enough time to say "Dear God..." and then it's over :P), he turned and looked at us and jokingly said, "So are you guys too old for the pledge now? Is that the way it is?" and we all kinda laughed and said we just usually don't say it and he was just all chill about it. Then when PVTV was on he made REALLY funny comments every now and then about the anchor who was talking, or something they said, or just anything. When it ended he was still kinda talking to us, and the REALLY cool thing is that everyone was listening...everyone in homeroom was paying attention to him and cracking up at his jokes and smiling at his humor...even though everyone could tell he was different. He just had this AMAZING personality...and he let THAT define who he was, rather than his outside appearance. And that just really touched me. I dunno if this whole rant thing makes any sense, but I walked out of homeroom really happy. Like we were all happy to be around him cause he was just so full of life. Oh wow this sounds sappy...hah, well, yeah.

That was my day...and I just finished the dishes, ate my bowl of cereal, and now I'm off to do homework...there's the slightest chance that I'll be able to see David tomorrow but in order for that to work I have to have all my homework done tonight cause on Sunday he's coming over here the whole day for SuperBowl Sunday.

PEACE!!! ;D

So did you know that Bagel Bites are hormonal?

My night's been pretty aight, but pretty short.

After jazz band, Amy gave me a ride home and we ended up sitting in her car outside my house for like an hour just talking. It was kinda nice to just VENT about stuff and she gets me and I get where she's coming from so it was a really good conversation.

Then my dad texted me that it was dinner time, so I had to go inside. I went in, sat down, ate dinner, played Skippo (I played NO CARDS...), cleaned up, and then started homework. YUPP. That was my fun night.

So now I'm talking to David and we've decided that Bagel Bites are hormonal. They are not to be trusted. Especially not with someone's daughter. And especially ESPECIALLY not on a double date. Cause you know...ANYTHING can happen on a double date...those crazy Bagel Bites, who do they think they are??? ;D

Lather, rinse, repeat...yum???

So when you're in the car talking to someone for awhile you get into that kinda "snacky" mood and so you reach for the gummy worms...and they taste like SHAMPOO???
