Cereal Always Tastes Better at 3:34 PM

Yupp. I'm having a bowl of cereal right now, and it is YUMMMMMY!

Quick sidenote: It hurts to type...I got a paper cut today (that's the second one...I got one yesterday too...grr...) and it's like...on my palm near my thumb, and so whenever I move my thumb it stretches the skin around the paper cut which makes it open up again and it STINGS so badly...haha...I was just about to ask why did God create paper cuts. :P

So school today was...interesting? I dunno if that's the right but uh...yeah. There were four fights during the school day. All of which happened before noon. How crazy is that? What is going ON??? Fights are SO stupid. It's basically people wanting attention, and they certainly do get that attention. Everyone in the entire school pretty much knows everything, even if you weren't there for any of them. Isn't it amazing how that works? Like as you'd walk down the hall you'd hear everyone talking about it---wanting to know who it was between, why it started, who started it, who "won", and how badly the other person got hurt. Crazy crazy crazy...

So that was the big news of the day. It was so scary going up to the third floor for science...there was like a State Trooper (I think?) standing in the hallway with his intimidating uniform and his even more intimidating gun and taser. Then there were cops and all that fun jazz and people were arrested and blah blah blah.

The other big thing that happened today was that I had a sub in homeroom. That in itself isn't really that big of a deal, but it was WHO the sub was that made it such a big deal. When I walked into homeroom he was standing right in my front of my desk looking at the seating chart and stuff and when I slid into my seat and he glanced up and sincerely apologized for being in my "space", which I thought was nice of him. Then I noticed something about him...he was...different. Like the kind of different that makes you wonder if he has a disability or something. His eyes were a very pale blue...and not quite focused on anything. They weren't centered like most people's, one was a little off to the side and the other was a little farther up than what's considered "normal". And when he stepped away from my desk I noticed that he had a limp...he dragged one leg behind him.

As he was calling out attendance, he looked like he was struggling with the pen to write. Like he had to focus extra hard to make his hand do what he wanted it to do. But it didn't slow him down...he just pushed right through it.

Then the principal came over the loud speaker and started the pledge, which he echoed after her in a loud strong voice. After the moment of silence (sidenote: which is supposed to be for prayer but they give you about enough time to say "Dear God..." and then it's over :P), he turned and looked at us and jokingly said, "So are you guys too old for the pledge now? Is that the way it is?" and we all kinda laughed and said we just usually don't say it and he was just all chill about it. Then when PVTV was on he made REALLY funny comments every now and then about the anchor who was talking, or something they said, or just anything. When it ended he was still kinda talking to us, and the REALLY cool thing is that everyone was listening...everyone in homeroom was paying attention to him and cracking up at his jokes and smiling at his humor...even though everyone could tell he was different. He just had this AMAZING personality...and he let THAT define who he was, rather than his outside appearance. And that just really touched me. I dunno if this whole rant thing makes any sense, but I walked out of homeroom really happy. Like we were all happy to be around him cause he was just so full of life. Oh wow this sounds sappy...hah, well, yeah.

That was my day...and I just finished the dishes, ate my bowl of cereal, and now I'm off to do homework...there's the slightest chance that I'll be able to see David tomorrow but in order for that to work I have to have all my homework done tonight cause on Sunday he's coming over here the whole day for SuperBowl Sunday.

PEACE!!! ;D
