So yesterday was Father's Day and our family had a great time.
We went to church (of course), and then went out to eat at Ruby Tuesdays. I got broccoli and cheese soup (MMM) and then Bacon Cheese Minis, YUM. But I had a lot of snacks in Sunday School so I wasn't that hungry. So I had a bunch of food left over and our waitress comes over and asks if I want a box for the burgers (I should have those later...), so I say sure. She comes back with the box, sees that I only had half my soup and says, "Do you want a container for your soup?" And I just look up at her in surprise and say, "You can contain SOUP?" and then she and my entire family starts cracking up and she says, "Yes, I'll go get a container for your soup." It was HILARIOUS.
AND THEN...oh man...we're sitting there and I'm looking at the condensation on my glass and I ask, "Why does the glasses sweat?" and my dad immediately replies, "It's from the ice cubes." and I just look at him and he says, "You know, as the ice cubes melt they go onto the outside of the glass." so I think for a moment and then go, "OooOOOOooh! That makes sense!!" and then EVERYONE started cracking up! And I was like, "What??" and my mom says, "Well, if the ice cubes melt why doesn't the soda come out of the glass?" so then I said, "Cause the soda's soda and the ice cubes are water." and then my mom pointed to a glass of water but then I just said, "Well ice cubes are ice, it's different." Then I realized that glass is GLASS...but I mean, doesn't it make sense??? Much more sense than like temperature differences or whatever...
I was never good with science...
