- I was UBER excited this morning at the bus circle...apparently EVERYONE could hear me... ;D
- DK gave me a hug, that was nice. :]
- In German I convinced Frau to let us watch the movie we had been watching most of last week again. I am SO good.
- During band we were in the keyboard lab (AP testing), so that was fun. I handed out the Ghiradelli brownies I had made. SO AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS. Incredibly sticky, but after you yanked it out of the pan---MMM.
- Lunch was great, just a lot of crazy fun. I can't even remember stuff we talked about...it was just FUN. I had my PB&J sandwich and like 3 brownies. :D Asian kept eating them! It was kinda funny.
- I was attacked during Science. Everyone saw I had brownies and pretty soon all that was left was crumbs.
- In Health I was attacked again and everyone ate the crumbs. Those crumbs were really good...
- In Comp. Gov. we finished up the movie, and then Mr. Rinda was like, "Happy birthday Rachel! You're finally 12!!" Well...I didn't hear him right, so I just smiled and said back, "YUP!" Some people started laughing and I was like, "...what?" So Cara leans over and explains...I was like ooOOOoooOOOhh!!!
- English was a lot of fun, we did a class survey thing. I was loud. ;D
I had an AMAZING conversation with DK. Realized a lot of things, understood a lot of stuff a whole lot better---things just CLICKED.
So by the time I got done talking with him, it was dinner time!! We had tortellini with mozzarella cheese melted on top of it all with diced tomatoes and bacon and the extra bacon grease---IT WAS SO GOOD. We also had bread with the oil dipping stuff, LOVE THAT STUFF. Lots of funny moments at dinner, just a lot of fun. I heard a new story about my dad I had never heard before. THAT was fun. :P
Then presents! OMWord my brother's card was HYSTERICAL!! Here's what it said:
FRONT---"A birthday riddle for you, Rachel...how can you tell if there's a monster under your bed?"
INSIDE---"Throw your little sister Sanya under there and listen for a crunching sound! Happy birthday!!!"
It was HORRIBLE (with an O) but SO funny!! Ahh...
He gave me an iTunes gift card. I have like $50 of iTunes stuff cause I can't buy anything cause my computer's stupid! But Mom and Dad are gonna fix it during the summer, so that's good. Something to look forward to... ;D
Then Sanya gave me her card, it was really sweet. She wrote me a book and got me a GAZILLION pairs of socks, it made me so happy!!!
Then I opened my Chiachi's present, and then stuck the wrapping package material on my head (later I saw how silly I looked)...
From Mom and Dad I got a really cool card (FUNNY story about that...maybe later), Mounds bars (FOR SIX FLAGS!), a ticket to Six Flags (it's only me and my dad going this year, but it's gonna be GREAT), the 3 disc DVD of Twilight (woo hoo!), and and and and AND...
THE PURITY RING I'VE BEEN WANTING FOR A REALLY LONG TIME!!!!!!!1
It is SO pretty...I am so happy...here's the site:

The one I got is the second one from the top, the Miss Faith Purity Ring. I love it. :]
Ok, thoughts time!! I've had a lot, just thinking and reading devotions and such, but I think I'll explode if I try to write them all down at once, so I'll just do parts.
I realized that we (meaning just people in general, mostly high school kids) treat our relationships with people of the opposite gender like someone we could possibly date or be with someday. I know that when I first meet a guy, I'll first think of him as a GUY (well no duh...), someone I could date, instead of thinking of him as a BROTHER---a brother in Christ. Wouldn't that be great if we could all do that? Imagine what the world would be like if ALL GUYS treated girls first like their little sisters, and then matured in the relationship with them...
But guys and girls freak out around each other, and I guess it's only natural---the other gender is kinda important to us. God made it so that one day we all want to end up with our "Adam" or "Eve". But if I really think about it...the main reason for our freakouts with the opposite gender is that we're not trusting that God is in complete control of putting us with our "Adam" or "Eve". Like...do we REALLY believe and trust that God wants to put us with the right person and that He will guide us into that relationship at the right time?
(Sidenote: not meaning to sound preachy here or ANYTHING, this is for ME. But I thought it might be easier for everyone to relate to if I said "we" and "Adam" AND "Eve", not just "Adam", cause I don't think ALL of us want an "Adam" in our life... ;D)
We all know that God is in control. And when I really REALLY let that sink in, it takes all the pressure off of my guy relationships. I don't have to worry about it. They're my friends, my brothers.
During times when I'm freaking out, or have a lot of stress, I have to constantly remind myself that God is in control of my life. I have to kind of gather all of my thoughts and just give them all to God...my prayers are usually something like this: "God, I'm so sorry I'm not trusting You right now. Help me believe that You have good plans for me. Help me find peace and know that I am not in control of my life, You are." It really helps me at times. I know that God will NEVER let me down.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
