Ok, I just spent about an 1 1/2 hours catching up on math homework...WOO.
Time to let some random thoughts out...
So I semi-realized something today. It's kinda something I've always done unconsciously, and I just consciously realized that I do it unconsciously. WOW that was a bad sentence. Ok, I'll stop trying to explain and just write it out.
Guys and girls both judge on appearances. We all know that. Whether we want to or not, what a person looks like and our first impression and thoughts of them happen automatically. It's just something we do. We also kind of make a tab about how "pretty" or "good-looking" we think they are, and then that gets stored in the back of our minds. Well, here's what I realized...and I don't know if this is true for girls AND guys, but I know it's definitely true for almost all girls and COMPLETELY true for me:
When I see a guy, yeah, I acknowledge his physical appearance---"good-looking" guys do stand out, but it's not the LOOKS that attract me to them. It's when a guy has certain qualities---like confidence, sense of humor, "gentlemanliness", thoughtfulness, and personal faith---that make him MORE physically attractive to me. It's not like, "Oh well, I'll sacrifice the attractiveness side for the nice-guy stuff." Those qualities actually IMPROVE his physical appearance in my eyes. And I'm pretty sure this is true for all girls, it's just an instinct to look beyond the "looks".
I guess our eyes are wired weird. ;D
