SONGAS ;D

This has been SUCH a good week. :]

I went to my first three classes today (very easy stuff, almost no work, except for math...), then went to the band room, changed, loaded the van, and then got on the bus to go do a gig for old...oh, EXCUSE ME---OLDER women... ;D

Oh! Me and DK listened to Bucs on the way there again. :D :D :D

Once we got there, we unloaded everything off the van, and played through some of the SONGAS. ;D

Then we went to McDonalds!!!

Ok, I know it's unhealthy and all that...but I only go like four times a year and I like the food. :] I got a cheeseburger with only lettuce, tomato, and mayo (I LOVE MAYO!!!), small fries, a parfait (I LOVE PARFAITS!!! I HAVE BEEN WANTING AND WANTING AND WANTING A PARFAIT FOR THE LONGEST TIME!!!), and a McFlurry with M&Ms (I LOVE McFLURRIES!!!). It was a rather delicious lunch. :]

Then we rode back on the bus, put our instruments back together, sat in this trolley/caboose type thingy (hard to explain) for awhile, sang through some SONGAS, then went and performed all of our SONGAS. We actually did pretty good. "Indiana" was ok, kinda slow. :[ Trolley did really good on "Very Thought of You", "Cherokee" was...meh, something felt like it was missing...maybe it was Sam (our piano player), she wasn't there. "Big Brass Band From Brazil" is always fun, I like that one. DK did really WELL on his solo. ;D "Little Brown Jug" went FAST! But I liked it, it's so much fun to play. All the little old (erh...OLDER) ladies were dancing in their seats. :] And "Blue Rhondo" was ok, I was Mr. O. would bring up the tempo a bit on that one.

Then we loaded everything back into the van (I'm beating Shep!! 6 (or 7?) to 4!!), got onto the bus, and went back to school.

We got back at like...2:00? So we unloaded AGAIN, then changed in the back room, and then just sat around in the band room for about 15 minutes.

Very good day, very good week so far. :]
